When we look back, we think the loss of our beloved Abuela Carmen (mother and grandmother) gave us the instigation to start working towards our dreams. She was an exceptional sewer with a creative mind and remarkable courage.
My mother inherited her sewing machine and I got her embroidery hoops and flosses. We found some old fabrics and laces that she had kept in some dusty boxes and started experimenting with them.
That's where it all started. Abuela Carmen is to this day our inspiration.
We met many interesting people on the search for antique fabrics and laces. People who inherited old farms, where the previous owners stored stacks upon stacks of antique linen rolls or wheat and bread sacks.
We do use other sustainable fabrics, but our products gained a meaning from the antique materials. We give them a new life.
We still have a long way to go and have many ideas in mind. But for now, all we care about is to create with care and love.
Give forgotten fabrics a new value and offer our customers a unique product they can cherish for a long time.
